Just Your Type Our typing service allows you to dictate medical record notes and correspondence as you have always done, and then transfer the file securely to our server as a sound file.

You can use your iPhone, iPad or your laptop to record your dictations.

Or, if you already use a digital voice recorder, it's as simple as plugging it in to a USB port and uploading the file to the secure area of our website. If you don't have a digital recorder, we can organise to help you buy one at a significant discount.  

Within 24 hours*, the file will be ready for you to download as a typed word document.

Synapse typing is performed by people who specialise in medical content which minimises the corrections required. Unlike other typing services, our small team of tertiary-qualified transcriptionists only work with medical documents. 

Typically, one transcriber will be assigned to do all your correspondence so it’s like having your own personal staff member, available when you need – without the hassles. Documents are formatted according to your preferences and we can apply your electronic signature to all correspondence.      

Your regular support staff are freed up to deal with patients and other, more pressing calls on their time.

As with our medical billing service, you can use our typing facility as frequently as you wish, and for as heavy or light a load as required. This means you can send all your typing work to us, or use Synapse as a back-up for staff absences or during busy periods. Once you've established an account with us, you can start sending through files without any advanced notification.

You will only be billed for actual typing work carried out for you. That makes it easy for you to trial.

Medical conference recording and transcription

Synapse has partnered with an audio production company to offer sound recordings for medical conferences and other health related meetings and forums.

Our sound engineer has over 30 years experience with the ABC, working on in-studio live production and outside broadcasts.

With a short turnaround time, we can provide a permanent sound record of all your conference sessions, from plenary groups, panel discussions and questions from the floor, to individual presentations and seminars.

Audio files are uploaded to the Synapse website at the end of each day and delegates can have immediate access to the full proceedings.

We use the preferred recording equipment of major international broadcast organisations; a system with its own internal failsafe. It’s considered bullet-proof.

Synapse can also transcribe the sound recordings if written documentation of conference proceedings is required.
